Rosemary Mahoney overcomes cultural prejudices, fear of crocodiles and intense heat in order to experience rowing alone down the Nile. Although there’s not a lot of actual rowing involved her in depth observations of the culture, individuals met and the Nile itself make for a very interesting read.
